Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-04-19
Short version
Use kutlhub to collaborate with people you trust. Don't use it for illegal content, harassment, or abuse. We provide the software as-is and aren't on the hook for damages beyond a capped amount. We can close accounts that break these rules. You can close your account any time.
Who can use kutlhub
You must be 16 or older. By using kutlhub, you confirm that you are.
Your content
You own what you contribute. We don't claim ownership of your writing, uploads, or anything else you author in kutlhub. Collaborative work — a document that several people edited together — belongs to the people who made it, in whatever arrangement they have with each other; we're not a party to those arrangements and can't adjudicate ownership disputes between collaborators.
Private content. To run the service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store your contributions and sync them to the people and devices you share them with. For content kept in private spaces, that's the whole scope of our license — we don't use it for advertising, resale, or any purpose outside operating the service for you.
Public content. Public spaces are different. If you make a space public, you grant us and anyone who can see it a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and create derivative works from its content for any purpose — including purposes beyond running the service for you. Public means public: once content is out there, we and others can use it. Making the space private again stops new public sharing going forward but can't retract copies already made or rescind the license you granted while the space was public.
Acceptable use
Don't use kutlhub to:
- host or share content that's illegal where you are or where we are.
- harass, threaten, or target individuals.
- distribute malware, run phishing campaigns, or otherwise attack other users.
- send unsolicited bulk messages (“spam”) through any feature of the platform.
- scrape or download other users' content except as needed for your own legitimate use.
- bypass rate limits or deliberately overload the service.
- pretend to be someone you're not.
- reverse-engineer the service in ways that violate applicable law or our security.
If you find abuse on the platform, email [email protected].
The service is provided as-is
We run kutlhub with care, but don't guarantee uninterrupted service, zero bugs, or any particular outcome for your work. Back up anything critical.
We can change, add, or remove features. We'll tell you about material changes by email or an in-product notice.
Liability
To the extent the law lets us limit liability, our total liability to you under these terms is capped at the greater of (a) what you paid us in the prior 12 months or (b) $100. Nothing in this section limits liability for things the law says can't be limited.
Termination
You can close your account any time from your account settings. Your content and personal data are deleted on the schedule described in our privacy policy.
We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. When we do, we'll tell you why unless doing so would compromise an active security or law-enforcement matter.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we each consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and bump the date at the top. For material changes, we'll email active users at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use kutlhub after a change means you accept the updated terms.
